Brela are the most popular summer resort on the Makarska Riviera. Brela are located 14 km north-west of the town Makarska between the mountain Biokovo and the island of Brac. Brela are notable for their dense pine forests, attractive pebble beaches, crystal clear Adriatic Sea, as well as history and rich tradition. Brela are also proud of the beach, “Punta rata”, which is the bearer of “Blue Flag” for 8 years and that is the largest international recognition for the purity of the sea and the environment. Thanks to modern hotels, apartments, houses, villas and other gastronomy facilities of high standard, Brela have become one of the most exclusive and most wanted tourist destinations in Dalmatia. In Brela there are many bars, cafes, pastry shops, restaurants and discotheques. There are also small shops with groceries and one super market. In the center of town, there is a marina for berthing ships.

Average sea temperatures : June - 21°C, July - 23°C, August - 24°C, September - 22°C.
